In a period of transformation for Spain’s bicycle industry, Youin has reached a major milestone: becoming the No. 2 brand in unit sales for urban mobility in 2025, according to the latest AMBE ranking.
This is not just a number about sales volume. It represents something even more important: real presence on the streets.
Because when a brand climbs the rankings in units sold, not just revenue, it means it is where it truly matters: part of people’s everyday lives.
An industry that is stabilising… and maturing
Spain’s bicycle market is going through a clear adjustment phase after the post-COVID boom.
- Total market volume has seen a moderate decline of -3.9%
- Sell-out sales (consumer sales) stand at -5.9%
- However, units sold remain practically stable (-0.7%)
What does this mean?
The industry is moving away from impulsive growth and entering a healthier phase:
- Less accumulated stock
- More genuine product rotation
- More rational purchasing decisions
In other words: the market is becoming more professionalised.

Urban mobility: the true growth driver
Within this new landscape, one segment clearly stands out above the rest: urban mobility.
- It already represents approximately 9% of the market
- It continues to grow compared to other segments
- And above all, it leads one key trend: electrification
The numbers are clear: 7 out of every 10 urban bikes sold in Spain are electric!
Direct translation: the electric bike is no longer an alternative, it is now the standard for urban mobility.

A shift in purpose: from sport to everyday mobility
The growth of urban mobility is no coincidence.
It reflects a deeper change in how bicycles are perceived:
In the past, bikes were mainly associated with sport and leisure. Today, they are seen as everyday transport, an efficient urban solution, a cost-effective option and a real alternative to the car.
In addition, subsegments such as foldable bikes (essential for intermodal mobility) and cargo bikes (growing especially in logistics and family transport) point towards a future where bikes are not just personal vehicles, but also professional and urban tools.
Youin: more than just a ranking
Within this context, Youin’s position in the market becomes even more meaningful.
Because this achievement does not come during a market boom.
It comes at a time when the market is more demanding.
- Where selling means truly competing
- Where users compare, analyse and make smarter decisions
- Where only brands with a clear value proposition continue to grow
And Youin is right there.
- Strengthening its presence in urban mobility
- Investing in accessible electric mobility solutions
- And actively contributing to the shift towards more sustainable cities
Being TOP 2 is not the finish line. It’s a sign.
A sign that Youin is already playing in the top tier of mobility brands in Spain. And that the road ahead… still has a long way to go.
We’ll keep pedalling forward.
