You can take it to the place where you purchased it or to a Youin assistance centre, located throughout Spain. In addition, at Youin we can also manage a repair request for you. You can contact our workshop at taller@weareyouin.com. Remember that you must always provide the purchase invoice.

Before riding the scooter, check your local council regulations to find out what restrictions apply and how you must ride. Always ride in accordance with the law.

Yes, wearing a helmet when riding an electric scooter is mandatory. Since 21 March 2022, DGT regulations have changed and you can be fined if you ride without a helmet. In addition, riding without a helmet is very dangerous because you could have an accident and get injured. If you ride a bicycle and are under 16 years old, you must also wear a helmet. Likewise, if you ride on interurban roads (outside the city), you must wear a helmet regardless of your age.

When the charger indicator is red, it means the battery is charging. When the indicator turns green, the battery is fully charged. In addition, once it reaches 100%, charging will stop automatically to protect the battery.

What is the maximum speed allowed for a personal mobility vehicle (PMV)?
The maximum speed established by European regulations for Personal Mobility Vehicles (PMVs) is 25 km/h. If they exceed this speed with motor assistance, they are considered mopeds and are subject to different laws. In electric bicycles, once you exceed 25 km/h, the motor stops assisting, but you can continue pedalling and, with enough pedalling power, you can reach higher speeds.

The best way to clean your e-bike is by using a damp cloth followed by a dry one. You should never use high-pressure water or corrosive substances such as alcohol, as they can damage some parts of the bicycle, especially the electronic components.

At Youin, we do not recommend using these products in adverse weather conditions such as rain. Although they have an IP54/IP65 resistance rating depending on the model, it is best not to use them on rainy days as they are electronic products.

Currently, in Spain, from January 22, 2026, insurance for electric scooters is mandatory, along with new identification, registration and certification requirements.
For electric bikes, insurance is not mandatory, but it is recommended if you want to avoid headaches in the event of an accident involving other people or vehicles.

All electric scooters may continue to be used without certification until 22 January 2027. Scooters purchased from 22 January 2024 onwards must be certified.
